From the bottom, or anywhere from a distance, Hameldon Hill looks just like a normal, mediocre hill. Until you get to the top. I stumbled upon this place whilst out running a few years ago, since then I’ve used it on a few shoots, the Artem Sonitus shoot being one of them. It looks as though it used to be a quarry, a strange place for a quarry as there aren’t any roads leading to it, and it isn’t exactly a small hill. My girlfriend and I decided to head up there one Sunday afternoon whilst the fog had set in. We came away with a handful of moody, dark images that I’m relatively happy with.
